Recycled and 100% repulpable fibre board for environmentally friendly interior design. X-Board™ is a new generation composite fibre board with exceptional high strength-to-weight ratio. The closed-cell honeycomb core, made from recycled kraft papers and organic adhesives, is sandwiched between two layers of inkreceptive recycled white paper. The result is an environmentally friendly alternative to resin-based MDF, particle board, PVC and foamed core boards. It’s just the thing for a market that’s increasingly aware of the importance of sustainability. The incredibly strong, lightweight panel (up to 90 ton/m2 core crush resistance), can be directly printed on and cut, routed and shaped to virtually any design. X-Board is amazingly versatile in that it can be large-format, direct inkjet or screen printed and laminated with both decorative and printed poster papers. Panels can be mitre-cut, then folded or curved, or cut into shapes and inter-locking pieces, offering users an endless array of sustainable design opportunities. X-Board™ lasts up to three years in indoor environments. And unlike other substrates that end up as toxic landfill, X-Board™ is 100% repulpable. That’s more good news for your environment. |

| Another useful tip is to cut two 1mm deep cuts through the top surface of the board. Then apply a heat-gun with just enough heat to gently activate the hot-meltadhesive holding the paper liner to one side of the board. Remove this section of paper to expose the closed-cell honeycomb core. |

| Now shape the board as required. Cutting parallel to the flute direction renders easier folds. |

This panel has been hand-cut with Stanley knife, 2mm deep into the top surface layer. |

Once cut, as above, boards can be curved into shape. Designers are encouraged to experiment with different depth cuts without removing the paper liner to achieve different shapes. |

This
example has been doublev-notch cut, allowing the board tofold-back on
itself to expose a printable front edge for shelving applications. |
