Display Tactix (2003) Limited

We enhance your presentation

Display Tactix (2003) Ltd is one of New Zealand’s leading display designers and specialist plastic fabricators. We are a New Zealand owned and operated company with many years of experience in the display industry.

The company was founded in 1991 and has since serviced companies nationwide with their presentation, sales and marketing and display requirements.

The company specialises in the design and manufacture of customised solutions for your needs. No job is too small or too big, too easy or too difficult for us to find a solution for you.

Rather than concentrating on the manufacture of acrylic-based products alone, we pride ourselves on developing solutions together with you, designing your product and delivering it to your specifications.

We are committed to quality and our business processes are ISO 9001 : 2000 certified.

Who are we?
We are a company that is located in Waikanae after moving from Wellington to the Kapiti Coast in 2003.

Making use of lower operational costs, we continue to service companies nationwide. We have access to additional resources to meet requirements for big production runs.

However, we are small enough to care.

Who are our clients?
The list of our clients is as long and diverse as our product range.

We service the corporate market (such as Te Papa, BNZ, Telecom, Caltex, Weta and The Body Shop), but we also support small businesses (graphic designers, printers, hospitality industry, retail shops, health & safety, service industry, and tourism).

What is our core strength?
Our core strength is design and flexibility.

As long as it has something to do with marketing and advertising displays, signage and equipment, we can do it. We have a pool of people and the equipment to manufacture high quality products – quality is what we pride ourselves on.

Whilst we are working closely with some design and advertising companies, we can also provide you with an in-house design facility.

The Proprietor of the business, has had training in design and can look back at more than 10 years of experience with acrylic and other plastics.

However, he is also part of the workshop team, instructing the workforce and working closely together with the Production Manager to ensure that designs are translated into product.

The company has recognised that the traditional gap between design people and operational people has to be bridged.

This has been achieved by having a small and dedicated team of people who are at home in both worlds. Being small means that you can afford ongoing communication, and having a versatile group of people means that you can be responsive to the needs of your clients.

That’s why we see your solution in the crossover between designing and manufacturing. We can translate your needs and requirements into a design and we can translate the design into the product, - you will get your solution.

We always start with a firm customer brief that often involves some lengthy discussions with our client so that we have a chance to understand what you are trying to achieve with a display product.

Once we have a firm understanding, we develop a design, which we discuss in-depth with our clients until both parties are happy.

Where needed, we develop a prototype of the design so that our clients can have a close look at the finished product or can even field-test it. At times, you need to use a product to get the ideas on how to improve or change it.
Only if both parties are happy – i.e. if we can design and manufacture your solution and if you can see that it will do the job – we will go ahead and manufacture it.

Depending on the complexity of the design, we can usually provide you with reasonably tight turn around times.
As other materials are used in the design or as you may want to work with some graphic elements on the design, we may have to allow for a little bit more in production time.

We work within a network of well-established subcontractors, for instance for screen-printing. We have worked for years with these companies and fully understand the way they work.

That way we can ensure that we deliver the best quality product to you on time. This page introduces a few of the markets where we have worked in the past and the products that we have developed and manufactured for those markets.

The list below is certainly not exhaustive but can give you an understanding of the diversity of products and clients we service.

Merchandisers

We design and build dedicated stands or merchandisers that will raise the profile of your product. Either at point-of-sale or wherever you present your product, we provide a solution that works.

Plastic Displays

We have a large range of plastic display products, including freestanding cardholders, poster holders, brochure displays, magazine racks and “Shutterwall” fittings. We can give advice on which product is best to use or we can design and manufacture a product to your specifications.

Model Covers & Café Cabinets

Whether custom designed display cases for the museum or fittings for your café, bar or restaurant, a professionally build case or cabinet protects your display and provides peace of mind in regard to health or security issues.

Awards & Trophies

Using modern and traditional materials, we can design an award incorporating your company identity or events logos. Let us create an outstanding award using the latest technology and high quality material.

Signage

We provide an extensive sign making service, from flat interior designs through to 3-dimensional exterior signage. We can add branding to many of the products we design and manufacture using screen-printing, computer cut lettering or laser engraving.

DISPLY TACTIX (2003) LTD

Proud to have become ISO Certified

In February 2006 Display Tactix was awarded their ISO 9001 Certification. We are the only Display Designer and Manufacturer in New Zealand to be ISO certified.

ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) is the world’s largest developer of standards. ISO standards are voluntary, however it may become a market requirement – so we are ready for the likely event.

More than half a million organisations in more than 149 countries are implementing ISO 9001:2000 which provides a framework for quality management throughout the processes of producing and delivering products and services for the customer.

This has “got to be good” for the consumer as conformity of products and services to International Standards provides assurance about their quality, safety, and reliability.

But what does this mean for our customers? And what does having ISO even mean?

ISO is a “stamp” to certify that our company structure and systems have been developed to a level where we are in control of all aspects of our business. This means information is stored accurately and can be retrieved when required, quality management systems are in place and are being used, and there is a company emphasis on continually improving.

For our customers, ISO is not something that will have obvious effects on a day-to-day basis, but could be compared to the difference between driving an older car that you’re never sure is going to last a long distance trip, or driving a well-maintained new vehicle where you don’t have to worry about breakdowns.

The ISO standard requires businesses to have a manual that documented the core systems of their business. To gain ISO accreditation a company must still pass an “audit”, where they must convince an outside observer that they are in control of information and can access old information when required to. Display Tactix has been able to document the core business systems successfully into such a manual.
