This award is made from 2 polished blocks of 20mm clear acrylic. Using a clear laminating process, laser printed graphics are permanently sandwiched inside. This design of award is an excellent choice for short-run awards where full colour is required and screen printing costs would be prohibitive. Note the graphic must go edge-to-edge for this design to be successful.


 

 

Title: Maranui Prototype Award

This is a prototype design made to test a new design of award. The back of a 20mm polished acrylic block is spray painted and then laser engraved on the reverse side to create the white text.


 

 

Title: Business Games Award
Client: Fordward Thinking

This award is made using a block of 50mm clear acrylic that is facetted and polished to a perfect finish. Spot colour screen printing is used to add the logo, then the winning teams were added with laser engraving immediately after the event to allow each award to be personalised.


 

 

Title: Cavalier Bremwoth Award

Size: 150mmW x 300mmH x 100mmD
Made from a solid 70mm block of clear acrylic, this award is hard to miss. The angled top is screen printed along with the front. The base is then bonded to the underside of the clear block using a in-house process which conceals any sign of adhesive. Lastly a laser engraved plaque is cut to shape and adhered to the front to the base.


 

 

Title: Tombstone Award

This award is made using two pieces of 12mm clear acrylic. The pieces are made as a pair so they match perfectly and are sanded and flame polished to give a clear finish. This unit is usually sold as an empty “blank” so our customers can add the printed inserts, as they require them, which can be simply run off on a colour printer. The “tombstone” comes with interscrews either silver or brass which are fitted by hand into each corner.

 

Title: NZ Rugby Silver Fern

This item was not designed as an award but was used on each of the 150 tables at a Rugby Dinner in 2003. It is made in 10mm clear acrylic with a single colour screenprint of the fern leaf. The table pieces however were almost too popular, as many were taken home by those attending the dinner.

This awards is made using two pieces of 12mm clear acrylic. The pieces are made as a pair so they match perfectly and are sanded and flame polished to give a clear finish. This unit has a colour printed paper insert with laser engraving added to the inside front to personalise it permanently. The “tombstone” comes with interscrews either silver or brass which are fitted by hand into each corner.

This award is made from 2 polished blocks of 15mm clear acrylic. Using a clear laminating process, laser printed graphics are permanently sandwiched inside. The base is a cut and bevelled shape with a rebate for the award body to drop into; the base is also acrylic painted black. This design of award is an excellent choice for short-run awards where full colour is required and screen-printing costs would be prohibitive. Note the graphic must go edge-to-edge for this design to be successful.

 

 

 

Title: Tutus on Tour 2005 Award
Client: Communication Arts

This small display case housed one on ten signed ballet shoes from the cast of Tutus on Tour in 2005. The cases were made in 4.5mm clear acrylic with 10mm black acrylic top and base. The black acrylic was buff finished to restore the shine. Laser engraving was used on the top of the award case.

Made from 10mm clear acrylic with laser engraved trout. The acrylic circle is bonded to a rimu base that is also laser engraved.

 

 

Title: Reptile Tombstone Award

This award is a paperweight made to display a mummified lizard. It is made with 2 pieces of 10mm clear acrylic, which are sanded and flame polished. The panels are held together with screws going through the corners with our custom turned aluminium nubs on the front.

This presentation item is machined from a piece of Kauri and laser engraved with the recipients name and acknowledgment.

This item is a polished block of 50mm clear acrylic. The back face is painted black and then laser engraving is used to etch the logo and text onto the award.

 

Title: AXA Diamond Award

50mm clear acrylic is used for this award. It is cut and buff polished to a perfect finish, then laser engraving is used to etch the logo and name into the top “diamond” of the award. A full colour logo is applied to the base of the award.

 

Title: BP Tennis Award

This award is made with 2 panels of 10mm clear acrylic and with a 15mm black polished acrylic base. To create the red background the back panel is screen-printed edge-to-edge and the front panel has the graphics and text screen-printed on it.

This award is a 20mm clear acrylic block which is buff polished to a perfect finish. The logo and text are laser engraved into the back of the award, the red logo is achieved using laser etched self adhesive sign writing vinyl.

This award is made using 3mm black acrylic. It is cut and bevelled so the 4 sides can be glued and formed into a pyramid form. The small logo and text is screen-printed on the front face and the diamond logo is created using 3mm red acrylic cut and glued into position.

This award was a prototype to test laser-engraving resolution. The award is a buff polished 30mm block of clear acrylic. The logo, text and figures are laser engraved on the back of the award.

This unusual award is carefully designed so that it balances. It is cut from 20mm clear acrylic and sanded to a fine finish, then flame polishing is used to give a clear edge. The text and graphics are laser engraved on the front of the award with some of the text in-filled with gold ink to make it stand out.

The award is made from 18mm polished acrylic, the light blue colour is given by using tinted blue acrylic. This award is shaped and buff polished, then laser engraved to apply the text and logo.

This award is made using two pieces of 20mm clear acrylic that are cut as pairs and polished. The graphics are double sided and a 6-colour screen print is applied to the inside of each panel. The panels are then bonded together with the adhesive hidden behind the screen-printing.

This award is made using a panel of 10mm clear acrylic backed up by a panel of thinner white acrylic. The base is polished black acrylic made form 18mm and 10mm. Spot colour screen printing is used to add the logo and background, then the winning teams were added with a laser engraving plaque immediately after the event to allow each award to be personalised.

This desk award is made from polished 20mm clear acrylic. The bevelled rebate is cut around the front, sides and back and also polished. A screen-printed texture creates a solid area in the back of the unit, which can be laser etched to add text.

This award is made using 10mm clear acrylic. It is laser cut to shape, slotted into the base and glued in place. The logo and text is laser engraved on the back of the award.

This award is made using 4.5mm glass-tint acrylic. It is laser cut from 1 piece and at the same time laser engraved with the logo and text. To create the foot a heat fold is made afterward so the award can stand up.

 


Title: Wendy’s Pyramid Award
